Successful November for MAG

  • 4.4m passengers flew through a MAG airport in November
  •  Manchester and London Stansted both served more than 2m passengers across the month
  • Figures were published after the Group announced its half-year results

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) saw 4.4m passengers travel through its airports in November, up 9.5% on the same month last year.

Rolling 12-month traffic figures show that MAG – which owns Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands Airports – has served 64.3m passengers in the year to November 2024.

At Manchester Airport 2.1m passengers flew through the Northern hub, an increase of 13.4% on 2023. London Stansted also served 2.1m passengers across the month, an 8.3% increase year-on-year.

More than 150,000 passengers travelled through East Midlands Airport in November, bringing its rolling total for the year to date to 4.2m, up 7% year-on-year.

Operational performance across the Group remained strong across the month of November, with more than 99% of passengers at all three airports passing through security in 15 minutes or less.

The publication of today’s figures come after MAG released its half-year results.  A record-breaking summer saw more than 37m passengers travel through a MAG airport between April – September. The Group reported an adjusted EBITDA of £378.1m at the half-year, up from £346.1m during the same period last year. Operating profit rose to £244.5m (HY24: £218.2m).
