Strong half-term drives solid February passenger performance for MAG

  • 4.2m passengers travelled through one of MAG’s airports in February, an increase of 0.6%
  • The Group’s rolling 12-month total stood at 66.3m passengers, a 2.1% increase on last year
  • Operational performance remained strong at all three airports during the busy half-term period  

Manchester Airports Group (MAG)) welcomed 4.2m passengers in February – up 0.6% year-on-year.  

MAG – which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands Airports – served 66.3m passengers across the rolling 12-month period, a 2.1% increase on the same period last year.  

Manchester Airport handled 2.1m passengers across the month, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year. Its 12-month rolling passenger total stood at 32.2m – up 3.8% on the same period in 2025.  

London Stansted Airport’s annual passenger remained above 30m, this month up 1.0% on 2025.  Across February 2.0m passengers travelled through the airport, a slight decrease of 0.8% year-on-year.  

East Midlands Airport welcomed more than 138,000 passengers across the month, with a 12-month rolling passenger total of more than 3.9m. 

Operational performance remained strong across all three airports ensuring passengers a smooth airport experience during the half-term period. At East Midlands, 100% of passengers passed through security in 15 minutes or less. At Manchester Airport and London Stansted, the figure was 99%.
