All MAG airports were impacted by the collapse of Thomas Cook Airlines in October, reflected in year-on-year decline in passenger numbers.
However, Manchester and London Stansted both served more passengers in the last 12 months than they had in the previous 12 months. Overall, MAG served 62.4m passengers in the year to October 2019, up 3.1% on the previous year
East Midlands Airport’s passenger performance in October dipped (-13.9%) although the cargo tonnage processed at the UK’s biggest pure freight airport grew by 6.8% to 34,878 tonnes.
