Traffic figures at all MAG airports were impacted by the collapse of Thomas Cook Airlines in November, which was reflected in a year-on-year decline in passenger numbers at Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands.
However, Manchester and London Stansted both still served more passengers in the last 12 months than they had in the previous 12 months. Overall, MAG airports served 62.2m passengers in the year to November 2019, up 2.3% on the previous year.
East Midlands Airport’s passenger performance in November decreased by 3.3%, partly due the loss of Thomas Cook and BMI Regional, as well as reduced capacity by Flybe.
