Traffic figures at all MAG airports were impacted by the outbreak of Covid-19 (coronavirus) in February. Despite this, passenger volumes at London Stansted were 0.1% up in February versus prior year, with passenger numbers at Manchester slightly down (-1.0%).
However, Manchester still served more passengers in the last 12 months than it had in the previous 12 months (+3.0%). Overall, MAG airports served 62.0m passengers in the year to February 2020, up 0.7% on the previous year.
East Midlands Airport’s rolling 12-month passenger performance decreased by 4.8% in February. Cargo performance for the month of February, however, increased by 2.5% year on year in February despite a weakness in the global market.
